These wonders are amazing and it is spread from east to west of Nepal.     It starts with a stay in the Hotel inspired by Kathmandu Valley’s rich cultural heritage. Then prepare for the most spectacular and amazing helicopter ride to the world highest peak Mt. Everest (8,848 m)ending with a tasty breakfast at Syangboche surrounded by the majestic Himalayas.  This is truly once in a lifetime experience. Then from the highest mountain in the universe it takes you to the foothills of the Himalayas in South Nepal Lumbini, regarded as the holiest place of one of the world’s great religion Buddhism.  This is where Lord Buddha the apostle of peace and light of Asia was born. Its remains contain important evidence about the nature of Buddhist pilgrimage centers from as early as the 3rd century BC.After it’s a jungle safari in one of the Asia’s finest park Chitwan National park. Sitting on the back of an elephant, you will find yourself looking for exotic birds, rhinoceroses, and if lucky even the endangered Royal Bengal tiger.

    In between Nepal Wonder tour we will be exploring the bustling ancient city of Kathmandu famous for ancient palace, historical monuments and religious places.

    You will be warmly greeted by our representative at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu upon your arrival. After escorting to your designated hotel in the city you’ll be assisted in checking into your room. Before checking in, the timing and location for a short briefing session concerning your trip will be arranged.

    In the afternoon, we begin our tour with the place where Nepal was born.  The Swayambunath Stupa, the Kathmandu’s oldest and the most important shrine is the monuments which mark the birth place of the Kathmandu Valley which later developed into the country of Nepal.To visit a stupa is said to be the same as meeting a Buddha in person as it represents Buddha’s mind. It offers peace, freedom and joy to the whole world and ultimately helps us to obtain perfect enlightenment.

    Then from here we drive down to the heart of Kathmandu walk through the local market to Thamel streets where we can always have a dinner.

    After return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

    Prepare for ride of a lifetime. Early morning according to weather we drive to Domestic Airport for 3½  hours of spectacular Helicopter ride to the highest mountain of the world Mt. Everest (8,848 m ).  This istruly a magnificent adventure and a memory to treasure for the lifetime. During your flight, you can see amazing vistas of the snow covered giant peaks including the Mt. Everest (8,848 m) the highest in the world. (weather permitting).

    Return to the hotel freshen up and in the afternoon you will be driven to Bhaktapur(1,401 m) which lies 18 km east of Kathmandu. Once the capital of the entire valley, Bhaktapur now is the most isolated and unchanged among the three former kingdoms. This Durbar (palace) Square is rich in traditional art, architecture and historical monuments. It is a conglomeration of pagoda and shikhara-style temples grouped around a fifty-five window palace of brick and wood. The square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the Valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal.

    After, we head back to the hotel visiting enroutethe most holy Hindu temple of Nepal, PASHUPATINATH. This is a two tiered golden roof and silver door temple dedicated to a manifestation of Shiva called Pashupati (Lord of Animals). The exact date of foundation of the shrine is not known but the first historical records date from the 13th century. The site has sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmatiriver. In the evening we can see the performing of the Arati. The Aratiis  an expression of one’s complete and unflinching love towards God. It is sung and performed with a deep sense of reverence, adoration, and meditative awareness.

    After, we return back to Hotel for an overnight stay.

    Today in the morning we take a 35 minutes flight to Bhairawa then drive 40 minutes to the birth place of Lord Buddha, Lumbini.  Upon arrival at the hotel check into the room, freshen up then we start exploring.  Lumbini and its surroundings are filled with archeological sites related with Lord Buddha.  This afternoon we will visit Sacred Garden which is spread over 6 sq km.  Here you will see the Maya Devi temple where Lord Buddha was born, Ashoka pillar with inscription confirming the spot of the birthplace, “foot print” indicating the exact location of the Buddha’s birth;Pushkarni pond where Queen Maya Devi is said to have taken a bath here before giving birth. Also you can visit different monasteries constructed by Buddhist communities from different countries.

    After breakfast we will drive to Barahi Jungle Resort which is located in Meghauli 3 kms away from Chitwan National Park. Drive takes us around 4 ½ hrs. Proceeding towards the lodge by crossing the rustic roads of Tharu villages, you would observe a life much different than other tourist spots of Nepal.

    Barahi Jungle Lodge insinuates the austerity of Chitwan National Park. Experiencing refined luxury in the panoramic savannahs punctuated by Rapti River as overlooked from Barahi’s vantage point is a parallel universe retreat. We take immense pride in strengthening the bond of nature and mankind through our itineraries. The ambient outlook and sort after interiors of the lodge give a stunning insight into the aboriginal Tharu culture of Nepal interlaced with wilderness of Chitwan. The river facing pool and deck add up to the up-class luxury created at Barahi Jungle Lodge.

    Arrive at ‘Barahi Jungle Lodge’ via Chaubiskothi, which is 32 K.M. from the main highway in Bharatpur which takes an hour drive. Upon arrival, welcome drink is served and there will be a short briefing on the program and our facilities, rooms will be assigned.

    At 1:00 O’clock Lunch is served

    3:00 PM: Elephant-back safari: Short drive for about 5 minutes from the resort for a ride on elephant to explore the jungle and wildlife, the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-2½ hours.

    7:00 PM: Slide presentation. One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Your questions are most welcome.

    OR Tharu Cultural Dance: Farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances.

    8:00 PM: Dinner at the central dining hall.

    6:00 AM: Bird Watching/Nature Walk: Wake-up call followed by tea or coffee then proceed for Bird watching/Nature walk. Out of 544 species of the birds we have recorded 276 species in our area. Hence, the area around Barahi Jungle Lodge is considered a Paradise for bird watchers. Our guides will help you to identify some of the species of these birds. The Bird watching program will be about 1½ to 2 hours.

    8:30 AM: Breakfast at the resort.

    9:30 AM: Elephant briefing/Bathing program: Learn more about these fascinating animals during a visit to our elephant stables followed by Elephant Bathing in the River. (Note: Elephant bathing is done during summer season as elephant loves to bath in the river willingly. Elephants are not forced to take bath during the cold season/day).

    1:00 PM: Lunch at the dining hall or outside around pool area.

    2:30 PM: Jeep Safari/Boating (subject to weather conditions & water level in the river):

    Proceed for the Jeep Safari crossing the Rapti River by Patela Boat to start with. After crossing the Rapti River start the excursion on a jeep for Jeep safari (Jungle Drive) which begins from the open grassland area followed by the mix (riverrine) forest which continues inside the dense Sal Forest crossing the Reu River inside the Park to see different wildlife around Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge surroundings area and oxbow lakes (Devi Tal, Munda Tal, Lamo Tal, Kamal Tal) to view different wildlife, Aquatic birds and the Marsh Muggers. After the drive come down to Khoria Mohan at the bank of Narayani River and view Gharials (Fresh Water Alligator) basking in the sun by the river banks. Then after this short breathtaking break continue the drive and come around Bhimle check post area and view the wildlife from BhimleMachan (wooden platform) in the surrounding areas and end the drive by the Rapti River Bank. This whole drive will be around 2½ -3 hours. After the drive come down to the Rapti River and start boating in a traditional patela boat for about 45 minutes which takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to view aquatic birds, crocodiles, Gharials and the animals of the river banks. After Boating walk back to the resort. Note: For those not interested to walk, there is a provision for vehicle to drive back to the resort. (Note: Jeep Safari is prohibited during monsoon season by the park authorities from June-September and in some season it can prolong till October)

    7:00 PM: Tharu Cultural dance:Farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances.

    5:30 AM: Village Visit & Bullock Cart Ride: Wake-up call followed by tea or coffee and then proceed for a short walk for the Village Visit. Our naturalist will brief you about the social and cultural aspect of the villagers and their lifestyle. After the visit ride on a bullock cart and come back to the resort.

    8.00 AM: Breakfast at the resort.

    9.30 AM: Departure to your following destination.

    Drive to the airport and take a flight back to Kathmandu.  Upon arrival transfer to hotel Dwarika for an overnight stay.

    NB : The actual program for your stay here will be suggested to you on arrival at the Resort. The activities are adjusted to the length of your stay, the season and current weather conditions. Naturally, it may not always be possible to follow this schedule to the minute and you will have to bear in mind that in such an unusual environment, circumstances may require the program to be altered at a short notice. On safari in the jungle you will be accompanied by expert naturalists who will talk about the animals, jungles and advise you on safety procedures.

    In the late afternoon we visitBOUDHNATH STUPAthe largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. It was built around 14th Century in the shape of giant mandala or diagram of the Buddhist cosmos.

    Surrounding Boudhanath Stupa are streets and narrow alleys lined with colorful homes, Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, and street vendors.

    In the late afternoon it is wonderful to be in Boudhnath as you can see the people circumbulating the stupa, offering prayers and lightning the lamps.

    After drive down to the Hotel for an overnight stay.
