Kathmandu 7 days tour program revolves around the bustling ancient city of Kathmandu with a bit of rural touch. Kathmandu city resting at 1,300 m above the sea level is a historical and architectural point of Nepal. Although small in size, Kathmandu Valley has some beautiful historical spots listed in the World Heritage Site. Visit will include ancient palaces which has some breathtaking Newari architecture, centuries old Buddhist and Hindu religious sites. You will be walking through old narrow lanes, visiting local market and opportunity to see the old carved house. This is a city where ancient traditions rub shoulders with the latest technology.
Then the tour takes you 40 kms away from the hustling bustling city of Kathmandu to quite tranquil village of Balthali. Colorful rhododendron forest with full of birds, green terrace fields dotted with ochre painted houses and faint hue of Himalayan peaks in the northern horizon is mesmerizing. Ancient monasteries such as Namo Buddha, IndreshwarMahadev, Brahmayani Temple are located in this village. You will have an opportunity to intermingle with the locals observe the traditional style of farming and visit a typical Tamang village.

You will be warmly greeted by our representative at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu upon your arrival. After escorting to your designated hotel in the city you’ll be assisted in checking into your room. Before checking in, the timing and location for a short briefing session concerning your trip will be arranged.
Afternoon, we drive 7 km east of Kathmandu to pay a visit to Boudhnath Stupa founded around 14 century. This is the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmanduand rich in Buddhist symbolism. In the late afternoon you can witness people praying, lightning the lamps in remembrance of their loved one and circumbulating the stupa creating a wonderful atmosphere.
Surrounding Boudhanath Stupa are streets and narrow alleys lined with colorful homes, Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, and street vendors.

Today after breakfast, we drive to the heart of city to explore the ancient palace of Kathmandu Durbar Square which dates back to the 10th century. This was once the residence of Malla Kings of Kathmandu. Surrounded by concrete buildings, the complex is an oasis in a fast developing, chaotic modern city. The palace is an amalgamation of eastern and western architecture with additions by Rana and Shah rulers over the centuries. An unbelievable 50 temples lie within its vicinity.
After, we walk through typical local traditionalAson market to Thamel. This is a central market square in the medieval quarter of Kathmandu Valley. It is one of the oldest, busiest markets swarming with buyers and sellers. This is a place where local Nepali people come to sell and buy groceries and other amenities for daily life. Along this street, even nowadays, you can see a mass of traditional small shops in typical Newari-style terraced buildings. Also sometimes you might encounter a religious festival or a wedding or just someone paying homage to his special deity with colorful floral offerings, sweetmeats and incense or butter lamps.
On the way we will visit the temple of Annapurna Ajimawhich presides over AsanTole. Annapurna Ajima is the goddess of abundant food grain.
After, we walk to Thamel which is the heart of Nepal’s tourism. It is a colorful and beautiful mixture of craft shops, boutique cafes, trekking gear, and rainbow prayer flags. There are some great places to eat. So we can have a lunch break here and relax a bit.
Then after exploration of Thamel and having a wonderful lunch we head towards the most holy Hindu temple of Nepal, Pashupatinath.This is a two tiered golden roof and silver door temple dedicated to a manifestation of Shiva called Pashupati (Lord of Animals). The exact date of foundation of the shrine is not known but the first historical records date from the 13th century. The site has sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmatiriver. In the evening we can see the performing of the Arati. The Aratiis an expression of one’s complete and unflinching love towards God. It is sung and performed with a deep sense of reverence, adoration, and meditative awareness.
After, we return back to Hotel for an overnight stay.

Today after breakfast we drive to Balthali Village which is around 33 kms from Kathmandu. On the way we will visit a typical Newari village of Panautiwedged between the Punyamata and Roshi streams. Then after exploring this ancient town we drive 4 kms to Khopasi from where we hike for an hour to Balthali Village Resort for an overnight stay. During the walk you will get a chance to see one of the oldest Hydroelectricity project of Nepal. Then after pass through a holy men village and a terrace fields. On reaching Balthali Village Resort, welcome drinks will be served with a
light snacks. In the evening camp firing will be held. Typical Nepali dinner (Dhindo or Rice) with a local chicken from the village. Overnight at the resort.
Option is we can also take a drive on the jeep trail roads.

In the morning have a wonderful view of the Himalayas then have breakfast at the resort. After we hike towards a joint river where you will see a water mill and Ladkeshwor Temple situated inside the cave. Then walk forward to Nepane Village (Typical Tamang Village), after exploring the lifestyle of a typical Tamang community, move down to Ladkuriver and then back to the resort. Have lunch at the resort, then stroll around resort. We can organize a camp fire and cultural program in the evening upon request. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

Today after breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu visiting enrouteNamo Buddha and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Namo Buddha is one of the most important religious sites for the Buddhist in Nepal. Then after,we drive to another historical site Bhaktapur Durbar Square the home of traditional art, architecture and historical monument. Overnight in the hotel in Kathmandu.

We will drive you to Swayabhunathstupa which is perched atop a hill on the western edge of Kathmandu valley. This is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist Chaityas. It is said to be 2,000 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spire’s base are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.According to Buddhist legend, a single perfect lotus grew in the center of the lake. When the bodhisattva Manjusri drained the lake with a slash of his sword, the lotus flower settled on top of the hill and magically transformed into the stupa. Thus it is known as the Self-Created (swayambhu) Stupa.
After we drive back to the city free for shopping.
